History and Tradition: "Cradle of Samba" emerged as a tribute to the samba artists who made their mark in Lapa. The bloco reveres the history of samba, tracing back to the origins of the first samba school, "Deixa Falar," which later became Estácio de Sá.

Practical Information: "Cradle of Samba" parades both in Lapa, Rio de Janeiro, and in other locations, such as Quatis. In Quatis, the parades take place on Avenida Nossa Senhora do Rosário, usually on Sundays, at 5 pm. In addition to the carnival parades, the bloco organizes pre-carnival events, such as the "Carnival Cry."
