About Ilú Obá De Min
Ilú Obá De Min is an Afro-Brazilian bloco founded in 2005 in São Paulo by Beth Beli. This bloco's name translates to "Eyes of the Queen" in Yoruba. It's known for its powerful drum corps composed entirely of women and aims to honor and celebrate the cultural and religious traditions of Afro-Brazilian women. Ilú Obá De Min is also an important space for political resistance and promoting racial and gender equality, with music and dance performances that are deeply rooted in Afro-Brazilian heritage.
