History and Tradition
The name "Apuração" (Scrutiny) refers to the vote counting of the samba school parades, which takes place on Ash Wednesday. The bloco parades precisely on this day, after the end of the parades, and also on the Friday before carnival.
The purpose of Bloco da Apuração is to celebrate the traditional carnival of Rio de Janeiro, with lots of samba, joy, and energy. The bloco is characterized by its connection with the local community and its commitment to keeping the essence of Rio's carnival alive.
Musical Identity and Repertoire
The repertoire of Bloco da Apuração is composed of classic carnival songs, including sambas, ranchos, and marchinhas. An exception is the inclusion of frevo, a musical rhythm and dance from Pernambuco, which brings a touch of diversity to the bloco.

The parades of Bloco da Apuração dos Embaixadores da Folia take place on Rua Gomes Freire and Avenida Gomes Freire, in Lapa, and also in Buraco do Lume, in the Center. The bloco parades in the afternoon and early evening.
