About Bloco do Lelelê

Bloco do Lelelê: A Classic of Traditional Samba

Founded in 1983, Bloco do Lelelê is one of the most traditional carnival groups in São Paulo. With its samba percussion section, dancers, and sound car, the bloco presents a repertoire of classic sambas and original compositions.

Bloco do Lelelê's main characteristic is its appreciation of traditional samba. Its founder, Lelei, a resident of the Leme neighborhood in Rio de Janeiro, gathered a group of friends to play and sing sambas on the beach. From this initiative, the bloco grew and consolidated itself as an important representative of samba in São Paulo.

The bloco parades during carnival, on Saturday, on Avenida Atlântica, in front of Leme beach. Its repertoire includes samba classics such as "Aquarela do Brasil" and "O Mundo É um Moinho," as well as original compositions that celebrate the culture and traditions of carnival.

Bloco do Lelelê is a space for joy, fun, and appreciation of Brazilian popular culture. With its lively music and relaxed atmosphere, the bloco attracts revelers of all ages and backgrounds, contributing to the strengthening of carnival culture in São Paulo.
