Founded in 2014, the Flip-Flop Block (Bloco Chinelo de Dedo) celebrates traditional samba in the streets of Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo. With its inclusive samba circle and classic repertoire, the block revives the essence of Rio's carnival.

Created by musician Rodrigo Moreira, the Flip-Flop Block emerged with the aim of preserving genuine samba at carnival. The block stands out for its circle format, promoting interaction between musicians and the public.

The Flip-Flop Block's repertoire is focused on samba classics, honoring names like Noel Rosa, Cartola, and Dorival Caymmi. The instrumentation includes tantã, pandeiro, reco-reco, hand repique, vocals, guitar, cavaquinho, flute, and saxophone.
