History and Tradition
Founded around 2013 or 2014, "Chroma Aqui Na Minha Mão" has had an active presence in Rio's carnival for at least nine years. Associated with the Lapa neighborhood, the block celebrated its fourth carnival in 2017, establishing itself as one of the creative blocks that make up the city's vibrant carnival scene.
Musical Identity
The block plays samba, using traditional instruments such as atabaques, pandeiros, and surdos. Its repertoire consists of sambas that celebrate the culture and joy of carnival.
Parades and Performances
"Chroma Aqui Na Minha Mão" parades on Rua do Rezende, with the main meeting point near number 10. Gatherings usually take place around 6 pm, with parades occurring at night. The block's parade often starts at the TV Brasil headquarters, at Rua Gomes Freire, 474, and continues to Rua do Rezende.
