Bloco Fuzuê is a carnival bloco created in 2016 in Salvador, Bahia, with the aim of reviving the spirit of the old street carnivals. With performances at ground level, Fuzuê values cultural and folkloric manifestations.
History and Tradition
Founded in 2016, Fuzuê emerged as an alternative to the large electric trios, rescuing the atmosphere of the more traditional carnivals. The bloco seeks to preserve the musical and cultural roots of the Bahian carnival, presenting fanfares, percussion bands, and batucadas.
Musical Identity
Fuzuê presents a variety of traditional carnival musical styles, including wind and percussion bands. The repertoire includes classics of the Bahian carnival, as well as original compositions inspired by folkloric traditions.
