Ferrari, Celso Alvim, Pedro Luís, Mário Moura and Sidon Silva. The group was originally conceived as a workshop to teach percussion. However, it soon evolved into a performance group, making its debut at a nightclub in the neighborhood of Lapa, in Rio de Janeiro, and quickly gaining popularity.

The bloco's musical style is characterized by a fusion of various Brazilian rhythms, including samba, funk, xote, and coco.
