TriboQ, founded in 2011, is one of the most emblematic blocks in the Rio scene, with the main objective of celebrating diversity and inclusion. Over the years, the block has established itself as a culturally rich and iconic event, not only during Carnival but also throughout the year.

1. Complete History of the Block

TriboQ emerged in 2011, in the wake of the growing visibility of the LGBTQIA+ community in Rio de Janeiro. Since its foundation, TriboQ has always sought to be a space where music and art can be experienced authentically and without barriers[1][3].

2. Founders and Important Figures

Among the founders of TriboQ, names such as Fábio Ricão and other members of cultural groups who shared a vision of a more inclusive and diverse Carnival stand out. The official colors of the block are an important symbol of its identity, mixing shades of red, pink, and blue to create a striking and recognizable visual[3].

5. Territory and Belonging

TriboQ originated in the Port Zone neighborhood, a place that has become a symbol of inclusion and fun. Rehearsals are held nearby, while the traditional parade route involves a route that passes through the Port Zone, celebrating the place where it all began[4].

6. Evolution and Historical Milestones

Over the years, TriboQ has undergone significant changes. In 2022, the block held the TriboQ Pride Festival, a six-day event that brought together thousands of people to celebrate LGBTQIA+ pride in Rio de Janeiro[4]. Another important milestone was the deeper integration with the local community, including partnerships with other organizations that promote inclusion[3].
