Founded in 1949 by Manoel Bernardino dos Santos, Afoxé Bamboxê is an afoxé group that represents Afro-Brazilian culture in the Carnival of Salvador. With colorful costumes and Yoruba and Nagô influences, the group stands out for its traditional parades, characterized by songs and dances accompanied by drums, agogôs, and xequerês.
