The Mackenzie Band, founded in February 1980, traditionally parades on Saturdays during the Carnival period in Rio de Janeiro. The bloco is located at Rua Dias da Cruz, 561 and Rua Magalhães Couto, 291, in Méier. With activities concentrated at the Mackenzie Club headquarters, it attracts around 600 people.
