The Afro Percussive Bloc Daughters of Mother Africa is a female afrocentric collective from São Paulo that uses percussion as a form of ancestral communication. The bloc stands out as a project of cultural resignification and of the drumming of the peoples of the African diasporas, being structured and played by black women. For the 2025 carnival, the bloco is scheduled to parade on March 3rd, with the following route in São Paulo:

  • Start: Rua Cumarú 204

  • Route: Rua Ribeiro dos Santos, Rua Abaitinga, Rua Inhabata

  • Return: Rua Cumaru 204
