Bloco Tá com Medo Porque Veio? (Are You Scared? Why Did You Come?)
With a fun name and a unique proposal, the Bloco Tá com Medo Porque Veio? (Are You Scared? Why Did You Come? Block) has stood out in the street carnival of the eastern zone of São Paulo.
Origins and Identity
Founded in 2015, the block emerged with the aim of rescuing and celebrating the old carnivals of Vila Esperança, the neighborhood where it was born and still parades today. Its musical style is traditional samba, and the block calls itself "the biggest open-air Carnival ball in the East Zone."
Unique Characteristics
In addition to its contagious music, Tá com Medo Porque Veio? has a strong commitment to the local community. The group carries out community actions throughout the year, strengthening ties with residents of the region.
Carnival Parades
Annually, the block parades on Rua Otília, 457, in Vila Esperança, usually starting its procession at 2 pm. In 2020, the block invited the famous Charanga do França to perform, further expanding its visibility.
