CarnaVrah: The Block That Rescues the Joy of Real Carnival

CarnaVrah, a carnival block founded in 2016, emerged in Pinheiros, a neighborhood of São Paulo, as a joke among friends. With a proposal for a "real carnival," the block seeks to rescue the animation and lightheartedness of the Brazilian popular festival.

CarnaVrah has a drum section of 150 percussionists and a singing wing with 200 members, who animate the public with samba and carnival marches. The performances are marked by the active participation of the public, who are infected by the joy of the block's members.

In its parades, CarnaVrah presents a repertoire that includes samba classics and traditional carnival marches, rescuing the essence of the festival. With its proposal for an authentic carnival, the block has increasingly conquered revelers, who seek to experience the true joy of the Brazilian carnival.
