Founded by Marcelo Haidar and Fábio Campos, Banda Amigos da Barra emerged with the aim of bringing the joy of Carnival to everyone. Initially based at an intersection in Barra da Tijuca, the band evolved into grand parades on Avenida Lúcio Costa.

Banda Amigos da Barra believes in musical diversity, blending samba, funk, pop, sertanejo, and axé in an eclectic repertoire that pleases everyone. Its motto is "We cannot segregate, we must unite for a better country," promoting inclusion and harmony.

The Banda Amigos da Barra parades traditionally take place two weeks before the official Carnival dates. With a sound truck and a pulsating drumline, the band creates an unforgettable party on the streets of Barra da Tijuca.
