Bloco do Litraço emerged in 1997 in the Tijuca neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro. Founded by a group of friends who loved music and Carnival, the bloco quickly won over the public with its proposal for lively and traditional revelry.

Bloco do Litraço is known for its roots samba, marches, and samba-enredo. With a drumline of 150 percussionists and a singing group of 100 members, the bloco creates an engaging repertoire that infects the public with its joy.
