Founded in 2013, Bloco do Tamanco revives the old traditions of Carnival. Born in the heart of Padre Miguel, the bloco reflects the neighborhood's strong connection with Carnival celebrations.

Bloco do Tamanco carries a purpose of respect, joy, and love. It is considered an authentic bloco, preserving the genuine spirit of Carnival.
Practical Information
In 2023, Bloco do Tamanco paraded on Saturday, February 18th, with a gathering at 11 am and dispersal around 5 pm, following the route between streets D and Figueiredo Camargo. In 2024, the parade took place on Saturday, February 10th, at the same time and route, attracting around 500 revelers.
Repertoire
As a Carnival bloco, Bloco do Tamanco likely performs traditional songs of the genre, such as samba and marchinhas, engaging the revelers with the contagious rhythm.
