Bloco dos Secretos: The Carnival of Freedom and Creativity

Get ready for a unique and engaging carnival with Bloco dos Secretos! Emerging in 2018, this bloco has been captivating revelers with its innovative proposal and "do it yourself" approach.

History and Tradition

Bloco dos Secretos was born from the union of friends who initially paraded under the name "Se Melhorar Afunda" (If it Gets Better, it Sinks). Since then, the bloco has reinvented itself every year, changing its name, theme, and route. This mysterious characteristic attracts revelers seeking a differentiated carnival experience.

Identity and Proposal

Bloco dos Secretos values freedom of expression and creativity. With a restricted group and communication via WhatsApp, the bloco maintains an independent and intimate approach. The performances are marked by collective choreographies that satirize the "body cult," accompanied by costumes inspired by the 1980s.

Musical Repertoire

The soundtrack of Bloco dos Secretos is an eclectic mix of styles, including tecnobrega, 1980s techno, 1970s disco, and funk. This musical diversity reflects the bloco's inclusive proposal, which seeks to provide a space for all revelers.

Practical Information

Bloco dos Secretos parades in Oswaldo Cruz, specifically in Parque de Madureira. The performances take place in the afternoon and evening, with the time and route only disclosed to participants in the bloco's group.
