About MedPholia

MedPholia is a carnival bloco (street band) from São Paulo formed by students and professionals in the medical field. Created as a way to unite the fun of carnival with awareness about public health, the bloco parades on Carnival Sunday in Pinheiros.

Its musical repertoire includes traditional marchinhas, samba-enredo, and contemporary hits adapted to the carnival rhythm, possibly with lyrics related to medicine. The bloco may also incorporate public health messages into its presentations, using themed costumes or distributing educational materials.

About MedPholia

MedPholia: The Health Carnival Block

MedPholia is a carnival block founded in 2004 by medical students from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ). With its name combining "medicine" and "folia" (revelry), the block celebrates the union between the world of health and the joy of carnival.

Health professionals gather at MedPholia to celebrate with contagious samba anthems, a powerful drumline, and tuned vocals. The block's lively performance guarantees an unforgettable spectacle for the audience.

In São Paulo, MedPholia parades through the city streets, bringing joy and lightheartedness to revelers. Its musical identity and unique atmosphere make the block a highlight of the São Paulo carnival scene.
