Mess Up My Bandstand: A Family Carnival in the Heart of Laranjeiras

Get ready for the revelry with "Mess Up My Bandstand," a carnival bloco that revives the essence of old Rio carnivals. Founded in 2005, the bloco is an oasis of joy and relaxation for those seeking a family-friendly and welcoming environment.

History and Tradition

Born in the heart of São Salvador Square, in the bohemian neighborhood of Laranjeiras, "Mess Up My Bandstand" arose from the desire of a group of friends to revive the atmosphere of carnivals of yesteryear. Its name is a tribute to the square's bandstand, the group's initial meeting point. Over time, the bloco has grown, now counting on about 40 directors who ensure its unique identity.

Musical Identity

"Mess Up My Bandstand" stands out for its traditional band, which sets the parade to the rhythm of classic marches and sambas. The bloco's repertoire evokes the nostalgia of old carnivals, transporting revelers to a time when joy was simpler and more genuine.
