Batuque das Meninas: Female Empowerment at Carnival
Amidst the vibrant scenery of Rio's Carnival, emerges Batuque das Meninas, a bloco (street band) that celebrates the union, protagonism, and empowerment of women. Founded in 2009 by former members of percussion workshops from renowned blocos, Batuque das Meninas has been gaining space and representativeness in the greatest show on Earth.

The bloco was born with the mission of giving voice and visibility to women, promoting their inclusion and respect in the Carnival universe.
