Anitta's Block: The Eclectic Giant of São Paulo's Carnival

Anitta's Block is one of the most anticipated and celebrated blocks of the São Paulo Carnival. Founded in 2016 in Rio de Janeiro, the block quickly gained popularity and expanded to other Brazilian cities, including São Paulo, in 2020.

Musical Identity and Repertoire

Anitta's Block is known for its eclectic music, which mixes carioca funk, pop, samba, pagode, and axé. This diversity reflects Anitta's own versatility and attracts a varied and numerous audience.

Special Features

A unique feature of Anitta's Block is the Anitta's Rehearsals, a series of pre-Carnival shows that serve as preparation for the main parade. These rehearsals allow fans to follow the evolution of the show and offer a more intimate experience with the artist.

Another highlight of the block is the choice of a different theme each year, which influences the visual production, costumes, and overall aesthetics of the event.

Cultural Impact

The cultural impact of Anitta's Block is significant. It brings funk, a traditionally marginalized genre, to the center of Carnival celebrations, contributing to the diversification of São Paulo's street Carnival.

Parades in São Paulo

In São Paulo, Anitta's Block usually parades in the Parque do Ibirapuera region, a strategic location that accommodates the large number of revelers that the event attracts. The parade usually takes place in the post-Carnival period, extending the festivities in the city.

Online Presence

Anitta's Block maintains a strong presence on social media, with active profiles on Instagram, Facebook, and a YouTube channel, where fans can follow news and behind-the-scenes preparations for Carnival.
