History and Tradition
Bloco da Mamadeira was born with the intention of including children in the carnival revelry. Located in the Botafogo neighborhood, in the South Zone of Rio de Janeiro, the block has participated in the street carnival for years and has been part of the official program since 2015. Its meeting point takes place at the "Redondo do Parque General Leandro" (General Leandro Park Roundabout), providing a safe and lively parade within the square.
Musical Identity and Repertoire
Bloco da Mamadeira enchants its young revelers with a repertoire suitable for their age, including carnival marches and children's songs. The cheerful and contagious music animates the little ones and their parents, who have fun together in the revelry.
