Bloco Infantil Casa De Alice

Bloco Infantil Casa de Alice

Bloco Infantil Casa de Alice is a children's carnival bloco that parades in the streets of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was founded in 2014 by a group of friends who wanted to create a fun and safe space for children to celebrate Carnival. The bloco's name, which translates to "Alice's House Children's Bloco," was inspired by the classic children's novel *Alice's Adventures in Wonderland* by Lewis Carroll, and its imagery permeates the bloco's aesthetics, from costumes to the overall atmosphere.

The bloco is known for its colorful and creative costumes, which often feature characters from *Alice in Wonderland*, such as Alice herself, the Mad Hatter, the White Rabbit, and the Queen of Hearts. The music is also very child-friendly, with a mix of traditional Carnival tunes and popular children's songs. The bateria (percussion band) is made up of adults, while the rest of the bloco includes both children and their parents.

Casa de Alice aims to introduce children to the joy of Carnival in a safe environment. The bloco traditionally parades in the neighborhoods of Botafogo and Jardim Botânico, areas known for their family-friendly atmosphere, attracting many families and locals. It’s common to see several parents and kids dressed up in creative costumes enjoying the music and dance. The bloco's atmosphere is one of joy and creativity, and it is a popular option for families with young children looking for a fun and safe Carnival experience in Rio de Janeiro.
