About Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze

O Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze is a traditional carnival bloco (street band) from the northern zone of São Paulo, in the Jaçanã neighborhood. Founded to rescue the popular culture of the neighborhood, the bloco parades on Carnival Saturday, with a diverse repertoire that includes traditional marches and other "Brazilian things."

In addition to celebrating Carnival, the bloco strengthens community ties and values the cultural identity of Jaçanã. The connection with the community is reflected in the parade's meeting point, the Vem Espaço de Cultura e Arte (Vem Space for Culture and Art), located in the neighborhood itself.

About Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze

Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze: A Train of Carioca Samba

Founded in 1981 in the Vila Isabel neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro, the Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze (Come to the Eleven O'Clock Train Block) arose from the passion of a group of friends for samba. Its name is a tribute to the time they met to parade.

Preserving the Tradition of Samba

The block is dedicated to preserving and promoting the culture of Carioca samba. During the parades, the Trem das Onze plays its own and classic samba anthems, accompanied by its samba percussion and sound car.

Vibrant Parades

The Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze parades every Carnival Saturday, bringing a contagious atmosphere to the streets of São Paulo. The percussion and sound car animate the crowd, which accompanies the block singing and dancing.

A Train for Everyone

The block welcomes revelers of all ages and backgrounds, creating an inclusive and joyful environment. The spirit of community is a fundamental pillar of the Trem das Onze, which unites people through their love for samba.

A Lasting Legacy

For more than four decades, the Bloco Vem Pro Trem das Onze has been a symbol of the vibrant Brazilian Carnival culture. Its commitment to the preservation of samba and the joy it brings to revelers guarantee its place as an invaluable cultural heritage.
