"On-Duty Gossipers" originated in the "Balança" community, inspired by the tradition of residents gathering at windows to gossip and tell stories. Attracting a diverse audience, the block is popular among residents of Horto and Jardim Botânico.
Parades and Performances
The "On-Duty Gossipers" parades take place on Carnival Sundays, starting in the morning and ending in the early afternoon. The meeting point is at the intersection of Jardim Botânico and General Garzon Streets, with the route ending at Praça Santos Dumont.
Repertoire
The block mainly plays samba, presenting a lively and engaging repertoire. Their performances include traditional Carnival songs, as well as original compositions related to gossip and local stories.
