History and Tradition
Founded in 2015 by Elymar Santos, the Bloco Elymar Pra Pular inherited the essence of the old bloco "Amigos do Elymar," led by the singer for 25 years. In 2016, the bloco marked Elymar's 30-year career with a special parade. In 2020, it returned to the Ramos neighborhood, where the singer grew up, attracting an audience of around 600,000 people.
Musical Identity
The repertoire of Elymar Pra Pular is a unique mix of the singer's hits, adapted to the Carnival rhythm, and classics of Carnival music, such as marchinhas and sambas. Elymar Santos brings his striking voice and romantic style, creating an engaging and unforgettable atmosphere.
Parades and Performances
The Bloco Elymar Pra Pular parades annually in the Rio de Janeiro Carnival, often using a "trio elétrico" (sound truck). Performances take place in various locations, including the Marquês de Sapucaí, the port area, and neighborhoods such as Ramos and Jardim Guanabara. In 2024, the bloco paraded in Jardim Guanabara, attracting around 800 people.
