About the Block

"Slides But Doesn't Fall" emerged in Saúde, Rio de Janeiro, to revitalize the local carnival, following in the footsteps of Cordão do Prata Preta. With a name that reflects its essence, the block encourages joy and participation in the revelry.

History and Tradition

Founded in the port region, the block initially focused on Praça da Harmonia, but today its meeting point is at Rua Sacadura Cabral, 168. In the past, it also performed in Gamboa. Traditionally, the block parades on Carnival Friday, starting at 6 pm.
