Founded in 2007, the "Estica do Flamengo" block has become a highlight of the Rio carnival. With its contagious drumline and vibrant repertoire, the block brings joy and energy to the streets of Flamengo and neighboring neighborhoods.

History and Tradition

"Estica do Flamengo" emerged with the mission of enlivening Carnival in the region. Since its foundation, the block has been winning over revelers with its lively and energetic performances.

Musical Identity

The block presents an eclectic mix of traditional marches and popular songs, including 90s funk. Its drumline, called "Bateria Pura Energia" (Pure Energy Drumline), is the heart of its performances, exciting revelers with its contagious rhythms.

Parades and Performances

"Estica do Flamengo" parades through the streets of Flamengo, usually gathering at 2 pm and parading until the early evening. The route starts at Praça Sandro Moreira and passes through streets such as Marques de Abrantes and Senador Vergueiro. It is estimated that between 800 and 2000 people participate in the block's parades.
