"É do Pandeiro!" Block
A musical brotherhood that celebrates Brazilian Popular Music (MPB) with the pandeiro as the protagonist, the "É do Pandeiro!" block is a unique and vibrant expression of Rio's carnival culture. Founded 15 years ago by percussionist Wilson Pombo da Paz, and now under the leadership of Maestro Pedro Lima, the block is based in the Laranjeiras neighborhood of Rio de Janeiro.

With 15 years of history, "É do Pandeiro!" seeks to explore the artistic possibilities of the pandeiro, a central instrument of Brazilian national identity. The block defines itself as a musical brotherhood with a unique and creative MPB proposal, sharing with the public the experience of multiple pandeiros playing together.
